Freo fanatic Min Woo Lee tipping Dockers derby win

He might be watching from halfway around the world, but Australian golf superstar Min Woo Lee is backing his Fremantle Dockers to bounce back in Saturday’s derby and says he can’t wait to watch.

Perth-raised Lee is an avid Dockers fan, having attended games and spent time in the changerooms post-match in past seasons, and even teed it up with players including Andrew Brayshaw.

“I’ll be tuning in,” Lee said on Thursday on a video call from Las Vegas as re recuperates following a tied 22nd finish at least week’s Masters tournament. “Tough losses the past couple weeks but we are looking pretty good.”

Fremantle enter the game against lowly West Coast as heavy favourites to continue their run of five consecutive derby wins but are coming off two narrow losses that have seen them slide from a 3-0 start to 3-2.

“I’m a big Freo supporter,” Lee said. “And I love footballers that play golf so I’ve hung out with them a bit.”

Brayshaw is a keen golfer having played iconic Californian course Pebble Beach with teammate Nat Fyfe during the 2022 off-season, with Lee responding to his social media pictures: “How good”.

Other AFL players Lee has teed it up with include Brayshaw’s recently retired brother Angus, and Melbourne teammates Christian Petracca and Steven May.
