Three horse racing fixtures will take place on Tuesday and the action kicks off at Leicester over the jumps at 14:00, while there’s alternative National Hunt racing at Catterick this afternoon. There’s a solitary all-weather Flat meeting at Southwell that kicks off at 17:00 and we preview all three meetings here and pick out some of the most eye-catching racing naps for the day…
We head to the 16:15 at Catterick on Tuesday for the most popular nap of the day and the selection that has been napped by a whopping six tipsters is the Tim Easterby-trained Betty Baloo, who is a red-hot 5/4 favourite for today’s event. The Brigadier and Whistler have napped Easterby’s charge, who was last seen winning at Catterick over fences and will be looking to make it two wins on the bounce today. The seven-year-old mare has been handed a meagre 2lbs rise by the handicapper, so must have a superb chance of landing back-to-back wins and is one to follow.
Remaining at Catterick, the Chris Grant-trained Chase A Fortune has also proven popular amongst our racing tipsters as three of them – including the likes of RP Ratings from the Racing Post and Brian Flanagan from the Irish Daily Star – have napped the 6/4 chance for the 15:45 race. Runner-up in three of his last four outings, Grant’s charge is bidding for a first career victory and the five-year-old looks to stand a great chance in today’s maiden hurdle if he can continue to blossom on the track.
One final horse running today has been napped three times and that is the John Quinn-trained Tropez Power, who is a 9/2 shot for the 19:00 at Southwell, and that contender is another that has been napped by three racing writers. Marlborough from the Daily Telegraph is one of the three tipsters to nap the Quinn charge, who is a course and distance winner, and was last seen finishing an excellent second at Lingfield Park and looks to be a major player today.
Postdata of the Racing Post currently tops the racing naps table with a profit of £28.36 and the high-flying tipster is taking no chances on the Tuesday selection as the leader has napped the 5/4 favourite Sabhatical in the 15:15 race. Andrew Bladen from the Wolverhampton Express & Star is looking to reel in Postdata at the top of the standings and the second placed tipster is another backing a hot jolly on Tuesday and Bladen has napped the 6/5 chance Mortlach in the 14:15 contest.
For those looking at Leicester’s Jumps card this afternoon, both Melissa Jones from the Daily Express and Mercury of the Daily Post have napped the red-hot 4/5 shot Hiway One O Three in the 15:00 contest and that contender is looking to kick on from a chase success at Market Rasen last time out.
Some more attractive prices across the three meetings on Tuesday include the Michael Herrington-trained Love Destiny, who is a whopping 25/1 shot for the 19:30 at Southwell and that is incidentally the best bet of the day for Rory Delargy of The Irish Field and that tipsters has landed back-to-back winning naps over the last two days. Thirty minutes later in the 20:00 race, Rod Millman’s Forever Dreaming is a 10/1 chance for today’s event and is the mount of the returning Oisin Murphy, who has hit the ground running since getting back into the saddle.
