An employer group representing some of Australia’s biggest resource and energy companies has secured a win as part of Labor’s industrial relations reforms, with the Federal Government set to make a major concession on service contractors.
In a deal with the Australian Resources and Energy Employer Association, Workplace Relations Minister Tony Burke has agreed to specifically exempt service contractors from the Closing Loopholes Bill – a key argument against the laws.
