The legendary label made its return to a runway at Australian Fashion Week on Monday, four years after the label had last shown at Sydney’s biggest fashion event.

Barr looked stunning in a lightweight gauzy top, which she paired with a blue pantsuit and a pair of black heels for the event, where she was joined by Kylie Gillies and Sonia Kruger.

On Tuesday, Barr spoke about the label’s return.

“It was beautiful and wonderful to see the Carla Zampatti brand back on the runway,” Barr said.

“So many people know that brand, and you might invest in one piece over your lifetime or something for a wedding or a special occasion, as a lot of women would know.

“It’s just beautiful. Congratulations to them. They did a great job last night.”

The new Carla Zampatti collection was shown at a runway named after the iconic designer.

“It’s a milestone for the brand as we launch internationally,” the label’s chief executive Alex Schuman said while announcing the show earlier this year.

The looks on show were sophisticated — high necklines became a power dressing statement, along with bulky metallic bangles and earrings, along with vertiginous heels.

The show featured a slick procession of long-line belted gowns and separates, in olive green and mustard, azure, and glossy black.

The perfectly tailored layering of sheer fabrics was also on show across the collection, with several looks exposing gauzy skirts under long belted vests.
