‘No experience required’: Aussie employer seeking to fill 1400 jobs

E-commerce giant Amazon will launch a hiring spree of 1400 jobs across Australia ahead of its mid-year sales season.

The temporary roles will be based at fulfilment centres and logistics sites in Victoria, New South Wales, Western Australia and Queensland.

The roles will involve helping pick, pack and ship orders to customers around the country during the sales season.

HR director Jacqui Marker said the company is looking for “motivated and enthusiastic people” for the short-term roles.

“We provide on-the-job training so no previous experience or formal qualifications are required,” Marker said.

Research released in March revealed millions of Australians are looking for a second job as the cost of living increases.
