Will Fraser McGurk be selected for Austrlia’s Squad for T20 World Cup?

Fraser McGurk’s exploits in the ongoing IPL 2024 would have surely caught the eyes of Cricket Australia and the panel of selectors. A fearless approach against Lucknow Super Giants (55) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (65) would be worthy of a selection shout, but is it too late?

IPL is one of the biggest platforms to prove your mettle, and McGurk so far, has proved he has nerves made of steel. Having yet to make his T20I debut for Austria, it could be too soon for the 22-year-old to be in the national team reckoning.

However, Australia’s RCB duo of Glenn Maxwell and Cameron Green have been out-of-form in IPL 2024. Here, some consistency from JFM could get him sneaked on the berth to the USA, with an outside chance.
