Wild NRL celebrity hit list revealed as NFL superstars tipped for shock Vegas appearance

The NRL wants celebrity firepower in the stands when it opens the 2024 season in Las Vegas for the first time.

And right now there’s no bigger name on the planet than Taylor Swift … but while she’s currently on tour it’s her other half that league bosses hope will come along to watch the opening games.

The only place to watch both games of the Las Vegas opening double-header live is Fox League, available on Kayo. New to Kayo? Start your free trial today >

Fresh off yet another Super Bowl victory, Travis Kelce returned to Las Vegas after a whirlwind trip Down Under to support Swift in Sydney.

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end is the big marquee name the league are hoping will make an appearance – which could also propel his teammate and megastar Patrick Mahomes to come along according to a source.

Australian NFL player Jordan Mailata has been promoting the two NRL games set to take place at Allegiant Stadium and, according to The Daily Telegraph, has been encouraging Philadelphia Eagles teammate Jason Kelce to attend.

“Jordan is certainly working on Jason to go and if Jason goes, so will Travis,” a US source said.

“And if Travis goes, so will Mahomes. Patrick is tight with Travis, I think they’re, like, best buddies.”

It’s reported that several big name Australians are also being chased to be in the stands when the games roll around on Sunday (AEDT).

From LIV Golf boss Greg Norman to NBA player Patrick Mills and even AFL premiership coach Paul Roos – the NRL is hoping to have plenty of big names watching the action live in Vegas.

Arguably the biggest names of all that have been confirmed for the two matches are Hollywood actor Hugh Jackman along with boxing world champion Tim Tszyu.
